Document Cloud Product Specialist – Education Sales, Remote West

As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, managing and closing direct and indirect (Channel/Reseller) sales of Adobe’s Document Cloud product line to include Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Acrobat Sign, and Acrobat AI Assistant to Adobe’s Higher Education vertical in North America.  This role will also partner with the Adobe Sales organization in the sale of Adobe software and solutions.  This includes the development of long-term relationships with named and non-named accounts, pipeline generation, and the development of sales account plans.  This Product Specialist will also navigate an enterprise level SaaS-based organization to demonstrate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

  

Job Description:

  • Prospect, nurture, and close new sales within strategic accounts solely, or along with your team of account managers, inside sales specialists and solutions consultants
  • Drive product revenue in assigned territory to exceed quota targets. 
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and business objectives. Track, monitor and report performance for each partnership. 
  • Perform outbound pipeline generation to existing customers to sell additional software or services.
  • Utilize company-standard sales productivity tools to assist in pipeline creation and expansion.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the complete capabilities of our service offerings. 
  • Understand and differentiate within competitive landscape
  • Maintain an active pipeline of forecasted opportunities to meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives. 

What you need to succeed:

  • Actively look for new prospects and leads through various outlets, such as networking events, social media, sales productivity tools, existing customers
  • Demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solving problems and pursuing opportunities 
  • Ability to handle a high volume of accounts and be agile in a fast-paced work environment  
  • Ability and desire to generate independent outbound pipeline generation 
  • Ability and desire to pitch and demo the solutions independently
  • Demonstrated experience crafting account / territory plan to exceed goals 
  • Minimum 5+ years proven track record of field account management/account executive experience, selling in to Higher Education segment.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities 
  • Proven experience in using quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess customer relationships and make recommendations for each account
  • Ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment, partnering closely with all other sales ecosystem, or working independently
  • Experience in selling emerging technology is a bonus 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $174,900 -- $310,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
