Position Overview:

As a Talent Sourcer at Petco, you will play a key role in identifying and attracting top talent to support the continued growth of our organization. You will work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to develop targeted sourcing strategies, build strong candidate pipelines, and contribute to a seamless candidate experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about finding great talent and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Candidate Pipeline: Proactively identify and engage with high potential candidates across a variety of channels, including job/resume boards, social media, networking events, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Talent Mapping & Market Research: Conduct market research and talent mapping for specific roles and business units to understand competitor landscapes and identify untapped talent pools.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, provide recommendations for sourcing strategies, and ensure alignment on candidate qualifications and expectations.
  • Database Management: Maintain an organized database of candidate profiles, track sourcing activity, and ensure timely follow-up with leads to nurture long-term relationships.
  • Branding & Outreach: Represent Petco’s employer brand by creating compelling outreach messages and promoting Petco as an employer of choice to passive candidates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, sourcing best practices, and new technologies to continually enhance our talent sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in talent sourcing.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong understanding of sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, social media recruiting, and database mining.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging messages free from grammatical/spelling errors.
    • Ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient with Workday ATS, Phenom CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • A passion for pets and a commitment to Petco’s mission to improve the lives of pets and pet parents.
