Job Summary
The Data Visualization Designer will support the design and implementation of process automation solutions using data visualization tools and/or other emerging automation technologies. Builds user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms. Takes complex data and makes it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights and ultimately enable them to make the best business decisions.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' relevant experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years’ experience OR applicable masters in related field with minimum one (1) year experience.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in data visualization using Tableau.
Minimum one (1) year working with ODBC and/or DB2 connections.
Experience with at least one relational database technology such as Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Coding proficiency in SAS and SQL languages.
Possesses visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge.
Possesses oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate professionally, effectively explain complex information and document according to standards.
Demonstrated ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
Applies mathematical and statistical concepts to perform analyses across a diverse range of scientific, clinical and translational datasets., Communicates closely with the data science organization, Communicates the data outputs across multiple business organizations., Creates and edits visual content using large datasets, Deploys, debugs and ensures high performance of developed solutions., Designs & develops metrics, visualization dashboards and reports for cross-functional teams and executives using Tableau., Explores, examines and presents data from multiple structured and unstructured sources with the goal of discovering and advancing hypotheses., Identifies trends and finds patterns in structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, Leverages expertise in computer science to visualize and implement analytic workflow processes, Provides visual, technical, and editorial guidance, Spread the data culture across the company by enabling data driven operations, Transforms data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals, Works with a team of data scientists to build and develop visualizations for the platform and underlying inference tools., Works with multiple business organizations to understand their needs, pain points, KPI to measure business and create data solutions for each of them.
