Responsibilities:

  • Prepare GST reports and returns for New Zealand clients, and BAS/IAS for Australian clients.
  • Process payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
  • Record financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts receivables and payables.
  • Coordinate with client partners to prepare jobs for annual accounts.
  • Communicate with clients via email to maintain strong relationships.
    Ensure onboarding, change of scope, and documentation are accurate and completed on time.
  • Respond to general queries and handle system administration, document preparation, and data entry.
  • Maintain records and filing in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as directed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Proficiency in Xero and MYOB is helpful but not required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills: able to adapt communication style to different audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset: willing to collaborate and support colleagues.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills: able to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
