Under the direction of the Manager of System Configuration, the Supervisor of System Configuration is responsible for configuration of plan benefits, updates and changes. Manage daily activities, tasks, and processes of the System Configuration team, ensuring productivity and accuracy meet internal standards.

 

 

Job Summary Details

  • Configures EMI’s claim payment system by creating or updating system logic, including, but not limited to, plan designs, accumulators, COB rules, covered providers, covered services, diagnosis codes and plan exclusions.
  • Updates EMI’s claim payment benefit cross reference tables. This includes updating new CPT, HCPC, ADA, or Revenue codes.
  • Manage daily activities, tasks, and processes of the System Configuration team, including but not limited to Perfect Claim pends, mass PCP member moves, issue intake and resolution, and contracted provider change requests.
  • Develop and document configuration standards and best practice guides for maintaining efficiency, accuracy, automation and successful integration with internal and external systems and programs.
  • Ensure accuracy by developing and analyzing routine quality control reports to identify provider configuration errors and training opportunities.
  • Monitor mechanisms used for internal tracking of incoming requests and issue resolution, new development and system enhancement needs, and ensure staff compliance with tracking requirements outlined by the department.
  • Monitor daily inventory and ensure compliance with established service level agreements and regulatory timelines.
  • Develop and document configuration standards and best practice guides for maintaining efficiency, accuracy, automation and successful integration with internal and external systems and programs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system training regimen and documentation for provider configuration staff.
  • Ensure accuracy by developing and analyzing routine quality control reports to identify provider configuration errors and training opportunities.
  • Assists in maintaining all of the following in the claims payment system.
  • Acts as a trouble- shooter between the IT staff and users.
  • Defines and resolves system problems.
  • Diagnoses problems relating to software interface.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 6 years’ experience in PPO and HMO claims processing, billing, or auditing required.

 

 

Specific Skills/Knowledge

  • Experience in major managed care system migration/implementation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Claims and overall data mapping.
  • Ability to effectively delegate daily workload and constantly reassess staff priorities based on business needs.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $66,000 - $85,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at Liberty, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
