Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Project Manager who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote. However, prefer for candidates who are located near a Foth office location
Primary Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact with the client for project activitiesWork with clients to develop scope, proposals, resolve conflicts, and build the Foth relationshipDevelop and execute projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitmentsManage all project activities in accordance with the schedule and take responsibility for overall execution of workDocument and execute all changes in scope of projectDevelop new business opportunities through excellent project executionDirect and coordinate the engineering design team, subcontractor activities, scope of work, and contract specificationsAnticipate project staffing needs and provide input to the selection of project team membersEstablish objectives and provide performance feedback for project team membersWork with procurement resources to solicit, bid, analyze, and award installation services / contractsProvide direction related to procurement of parts and equipment and develop or assist with the development of procurement plans when requiredEstablish project safety plans and ensure its communication to all employees on the jobPromote, support, and monitor safety policies of Foth and Foth's clientsWork closely with construction management resources during installation phase of projectsDevelop or assist with the development of installation, technical check-out, and start-up plansWork with, and sometimes act as, the start-up leader on the installation portion of projects; coordinate OEM service representatives and contractorsAnticipate problems and work with client, engineering, OEM's, subcontractors, and project teams to provide corrective actionsWork internally and with the client to identify and execute efficiency gains for work processes Travel as needed for data gathering, design reviews, installs, start-ups and troubleshooting (approximately 30% annual average)Required qualifications and experience with the following within the last 5 years:Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or equivalent technical experience5+ years of experience within paper converting industry3+ years of project management experience within the paper converting industry utilizing multi-discipline engineering teamsPrior experience in various contracting models such as time and materials, lump sum, guaranteed maximum, etc.Prior use of project management tools for schedule and financial trackingExperience in capital project management Experience in leading project scope definition effortsProficiency with MS Project
Preferred qualifications and experience with the following:10+ years of experience within the paper converting Industry7+ years of project management experience within the paper converting industry utilizing multi-discipline engineering teamsProject Management Professional Certification or ability to obtain within 24 months of start dateProfessional Engineer license Prior experience in a consulting environmentPrior experience leading proposal generation with or without a request for proposalExperience using Primavera P6
