Job Description:

General Dynamics Global Force (GDGF) is looking to solve United States Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) most complex challenges through the pursuit of the future Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) contract. SOF GLSS is the primary means of acquiring, designing, manufacturing and distributing SOF-peculiar equipment, globally. SOF GLSS is currently a large, enterprise contract primarily based out of Bluegrass Station in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Senior Technologist manages and directs all aspects of the program’s technical implementation across the contract and in multiple locations.

HOW A SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Create a technology roadmap that spans the period of performance
  • Create a common interface point between the SOFSA enterprise and the numerous task orders
  • Lead design and implementation of next-generation technologies
  • Ensure successful implementation of modernization efforts
  • Deliver metrics and implementation data to Government counterparts across the enterprise
  • Coordinate technology requirements from edge and enterprise customers


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Master's degree in engineering or engineering management
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of experience managing programs or projects in a DoD environment
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification issued from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Required Technical Skills: Growth and business development experience in the Federal market
  • Security Clearance Level: Must have an active Top-Secret clearance to be considered
  • Required Skills and Abilities:  Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills. Experience managing and motivating multi-functional, geographically dispersed teams. Experience coordinating limited resources across multiple projects. Excellent communication skills, including with technical AND non-technical individuals. Excellent critical thinking judgement and decision-making skills. Excellent client-facing communication skills. Experience managing government contracts.
  • Location: This position will allow for remote work to start. Upon award, this role will require working fulltime in Lexington, KY. Must be willing to travel to multiple customer locations.

The likely salary range for this position is $184,662 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
