Job description

We are looking for an independent and ambitious individual to join our group of Project managers in the Global Program Management Office (GPMO) at Embla Medical.

GPMO runs diverse international projects that support the company's strategy and growth. The department work is cross-functional and involves frequent communication with various departments and stakeholders within the company, such as Global IT and Corporate Finance. We are looking for an individual with extensive experience and skills in project and change management in a global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage global and strategic projects in an international environment.

  • Drive change management in cooperation with other key players and stakeholders, leading project teams and stakeholders through change.

  • To succeed you will hold the overall view of all the moving parts and drive its deliveries by breaking down the scope into smaller value deliveries, ensuring that customer needs are met, securing the right prioritization and removing obstacles.

  • An essential part of the job is to lead and interact with colleagues across the globe in Global IT, Corporate Finance, Customer Care, Warehouse & distribution to name a few.

  • Work with both business and IT as well as other functions where your work will have a high impact on ways of working and building Össur and Embla core business.

  • Develop roadmaps that sketch out schedules and budgets as well as anticipating on dependencies that create roadblocks.

  • Pro-actively manage the “triple constraint”; ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Perform risk management and design risk mitigation plans to minimize project risks.

  • Conduction project review and creating detailed reports for management.

  • Optimizing and improving processes where necessary.

  • Partnering with professionals and management to ensure successful project execution.

  • Dealing with different, and at times, complex situations which require the identification of issues, the application of judgement and a careful selection of solutions.

  • Take part in continuously improving how we manage programs & projects.

  • Collaborate closely with other team members in GPMO as well as across the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in the field of project management, business administration, engineering or equivalent.

  • International certification in project and/or change management, PMI, IPMA B or C, PROSCI ADKAR, is an advantage.

  • 10+ years of project and program management experience.

  • Leadership ability, experience of proactive people change management and business acumen.

  • Experience of driving larger and complex projects where both business and IT are involved.

  • Experience from working in a global environment.

  • Knowledge in sequential (waterfall) and iterative (agile) project management.

  • Interest in managing projects of various size and context.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
