About WOLF:

WOLF provides a white-label, AI-backed platform that transforms staffing agencies into modern labor marketplaces—think Shopify for staffing. We don’t recruit or staff; we give staffing companies the tech tools to grow with their brand front and center.

We’re a fast-moving, Austin-based startup, backed by leading VCs, and driven by a small team with a big vision. After three years in the game, we’re scaling quickly and looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design charge and build something great with us.


About the Role:

This is more than a design role—it’s a chance to create WOLF’s design system from scratch, reimagining the jobseeker (native mobile) and customer (responsive web) experiences. You’ll be our first design hire, which means you'll shape both our product and the way we work with design as a company.

You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, user-friendly experiences for a growing customer base. Your designs will have a direct impact on the staffing industry by helping our users operate faster and smarter.


What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the creation of WOLF’s first design system to ensure consistency across products.

  • Redesign our key user experiences across native mobile and responsive web platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that align with business goals.

  • Use data (qualitative and quantitative) to guide product and design decisions.

  • Present design concepts and balance trade-offs with engineers and stakeholders.

  • Help shape the future of WOLF’s design processes and culture.


What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of Product Design experience, with a preference for building products from zero to one.

  • Expertise in both web and native mobile design.

  • Experience building design systems and component libraries.

  • Strong communication skills—comfortable explaining your designs and making trade-offs when needed.

  • Ability to think like a Product Manager and align design with business outcomes.

  • Mastery of tools like Figma and Storybook.

  • Passion for user-centered design principles and an eagerness to fail fast and iterate.

  • A collaborative, feedback-friendly mindset with no room for egos.


Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks.

  • Familiarity with agile development processes.

  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

  • Experience designing dashboards or data visualizations.

  • Knowledge of design thinking methodologies.
