Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst FP&A

Reports to: Isaac William Sharp III

Department: Finance

Primary Work Location: US CA Monterey Headquarters (On-Site)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FP&A Financial Analyst\Senior Analyst to join our finance team. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our financial planning and analysis capabilities through advanced forecasting methods, financial analysis software tools, and driving data management & integration of financial data. The ideal candidate will have over five+ years of financial analysis experience, proficiency with data query tools like SQL, be an Excel guru, have significant experience working in enterprise ERP\ERM systems like D365, and be skilled in data management, report & dashboard creation, analysis, forecasting, and providing system administrative support for our FP&A platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Advanced Forecasting: Utilize advanced forecasting tools and techniques to create accurate and detailed financial models for business forecasting and scenario planning.

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analysis using a wide variety of reports as well as extracting and building datasets using SQL, Management Reporter, and similar tools to deliver comprehensive financial reports and insights to guide strategic decisions.

  • Budget & Forecast: Manage aspects of and be a key member driving company’s annual, quarterly, and scenario planning cycles, be a key member during target setting, ensuring projection and data accuracy, and subsequent tracking and reporting of actuals, trends, and metrics.

  • Data Integration: Leverage your advanced knowledge of cloud data integrations to enhance the flow of financial data across systems, improving accuracy and accessibility.  Work in conjunction with IT, Payroll, Sales, and other departments to migrate and consolidate information in the FP&A system for planning, financial reporting, and other ad hoc analysis

  • System Mastery: Act as an administrator and manage the FP&A financial system, preferably Prophix, or similar third party Financial Management tools or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) systems.  Employ expertise in ERP/ERM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, to streamline and optimize financial operations and reporting.

  • Tool Proficiency: Apply experience with FP&A tools such as Prophix or Jedox to enhance financial planning and analytical capabilities.

  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, and external vendors, to implement and support new business intelligence capabilities and provide financial insights that drive the company strategy.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to implement these changes effectively.

  • Quality Management Systems: Support OnSite Services’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and customer satisfaction

Additional Function

  • Perform data verification and reconciliation of results

  • Perform ongoing application maintenance, upgrade, development, testing and implementation of application enhancements

  • Administer security Group and User rights and privileges

  • Develop and maintain system procedure documentation

  • Ability to research system errors through advanced problem solving skills. Also investigate and solve complex technical problems and data discrepancies.

  • Assist and support the Finance team with the monthly close processes/procedures if needed, facilitate ad hoc reports, and information needed for any audit support etc.

  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as required

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams of managers and directors to gain consensus and execute to deliver results

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role is listed below. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this location. Experience and education refers to LanguageLine Solutions’ current salary range for this position. US CA Monterey Headquarters (On-Site) and US (Remote) pay range is $85,000.00 USD - $110,000.00 USD.

The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in financial planning and analysis.

  • Proficiency in SQL programming and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Demonstrated experience with FP&A software tools such as Prophix, Jedox, Board or similar.

  • Skilled in working in ERP\ERM environments, such as Adaptive Insight/Hyperion/or Great Plains

  • Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Management Reporter, or similar.

  • Significant experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial forecasting.

  • Experience with of cloud-based systems, integrations and their application in finance.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle complex projects and multitask in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering or a related field preferred or commensurate experience.

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CMA or CPA preferred
