Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in QA/testing methodologies, particularly focused on Data testing and data analytics. The ideal candidate should possess robust SQL skills, be adept at creating comprehensive test scenarios and plans, and have a deep understanding of how data flows within complex systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data through effective testing practices. Strong analytical skills, experience with Agile Scrum, and the ability to lead offshore teams are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
Conduct Data testing and leverage strong SQL skills to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Utilize analytical skills to understand and model how data flows within complex systems.
Work closely with Agile Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Set up and manage complex test data to validate system functionality and performance.
Analyze test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey testing strategies, results, and recommendations.
Lead offshore teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring alignment with testing best practices.
Utilize preferred skills, including working with Big Data (Hadoop ecosystem), AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, Data Pipeline, AWS Glue, AWS Managed AirFlow, AWS RedShift), and various data sources for ingestion.
Work with streaming messages through Kafka topics and experience with Hive/Athena query engine.
Collaborate with the team in adopting and enhancing testing processes and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

A strong QA/testing background with the ability to analyze and formulate test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
Proficient in Data testing and strong SQL skills for data validation.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to understand and model data flow within complex systems.
Good understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
Experience in setting up and managing complex test data and analyzing test results.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in leading offshore teams.
Previous experience working with Big Data, specifically within the Hadoop ecosystem.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, Data Pipeline, AWS Glue, AWS Managed AirFlow, and AWS RedShift.
Experience working with various data sources for ingestion, such as file, DB, and streaming messages through Kafka topics.
Proficiency in working with Hive/Athena query engines.
Familiarity with Apache Kafka.
