Who are we hiring?

MSG Entertainment is looking for a Senior Editor to elevate the video production capabilities within the Creative Studio, with a primary focus on sports content while also supporting entertainment projects as needed. This role will be integral to the Video team, contributing high-quality, engaging video content that aligns with our brand and creative strategies. We are seeking a skilled editor who possesses a strong technical background in video editing and shooting, with a proficiency in color grading, sound design, and delivering for various platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and demonstrate a proactive, highly engaged approach to their work. This individual should be meticulously organized, with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines.  This is an exciting, hands-on role for a creative professional who enjoys bringing dynamic sports and entertainment narratives to life through video. 

What will you do?

  • Lead and coordinate video projects for the Creative Studio and Digital Operations teams, focusing on sports and supporting entertainment projects as needed. 
  • Assemble advanced video content with layers, graphics, and effects to support various initiatives. 
  • Oversee the internal logging system, ensuring content is well-organized and accessible. 
  • Archive projects on appropriate servers for future access and retrieval. 
  • Serve as an internal expert on sound design and mixing, handling in-house sound needs. 
  • Mentor Video Editor(s) and Associate Editors(s), fostering skill development. 
  • Review and approve footage, graphics, and sound design to maintain high standards. 
  • Stay updated on editing techniques and industry trends, integrating innovations. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align creative outputs with broader initiatives. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors and manage schedules, onboarding, and project tasks. 

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7-10 years of experience as a video editor in advertising, branded content, or long-form documentary. 
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. 
  • Strong skills in sound mixing and color correction for high-quality production. 
  • Proficient storytelling abilities with a refined understanding of narrative techniques. 
  • Knowledge of cameras, equipment, and various shooting and editing styles.

Pay Range
$83,000$125,000 USD
