Job description

Squarespace is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to research, design, and evaluate initiatives that drive profitable growth across our portfolio of products and businesses.

In this role, you will support or lead work streams on projects related to Squarespace's pricing strategy, collaborating with product teams and business units on monetization efforts. You will join a centralized Commercial Strategy team working closely with cross functional teams across our monetization efforts.

You will report to the Director of Commercial Strategy and work from our NYC office 2-3 days per week.

You'll Get To…
  • Data Analysis: Analyze pricing data, customer segments, and user behaviors to discover pricing opportunities, best practices, and areas for improvement. Translate analyses into relevant insights that inform our pricing decisions.
  • Price Testing and Optimization: Design and implement pricing experiments together with Product teams to evaluate the effectiveness of different pricing strategies. Analyze the results to identify successful approaches which will inform our overall strategy.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors' pricing structures, packaging, and positioning within the market. Use this information to develop pricing strategies that take advantage of market dynamics and differentiate our offerings.
  • Price Modeling: Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis on pricing models that incorporate factors such as product features, customer lifetime value, market demand, and competitive landscape. Use these models to simulate pricing scenarios and quantify potential impact on revenue.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key pricing metrics, trends, and performance indicators. Present recommendations to stakeholders at various levels and functions across the organization.

  • Competency with SQL and business modeling
  • Experience supporting pricing and monetization initiatives with consumer SaaS subscription products
  • Experience applying competitor research to inform and guide commercial strategies
  • Experience delivering recommendations to executive-level audiences
  • Creative, and curious about understanding what customers value

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $203,550 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
