Overview:

This role involves managing a team of 25-30 engineers while owning various electronics controllers and motor drive electronics design & development related activities. The role is very key in strategically develop and retain competencies and capabilities required for the product development requirement, manufacturing technical support, and proactively manage tasks to meet schedule goals. Also, actively lead team to maintain a positive and productive environment. This role is responsible for developing required process and procedures for the electronics function and making sure the team is adhering to that.

  • Working experience in complete product development to own the electrical controller design or similar products with aerospace domain.
  • Good Knowledge in DO-254, DO-160 and familiarity with DO-178 process.
  • Broad exposure to a wide variety of tools and understand purpose and application of tools to the hardware life cycle phases.
  • Good working knowledge in requirement management process.
  • Good knowledge in the hardware design, analysis and verification phases start from Requirement to Qualification/Certification support.
  • Lead a team of Hardware engineers in design, analysis, and Verification of Avionics hardware.
  • Good knowledge in Analog, Digital and Power Electronics domain.
  • Good Knowledge in the design and analysis of Magnetic components/circuits.
  • Ensures design for manufacturing, cost, quality, reliability and certification.
  • Component selection for Linear/ Rotatory motion, Valves control, Power supply, EMI filter, sensors selection and control loop design
  • Assesses electrical design to avoid conflicts in design process, including detailed Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other methods of determining and addressing technical risks.
  • Understanding the PCB design process & the Assembly standards IPC-2222, IPC-2221 and IPC- A -610, IPC-J-STD-001
  • Good Knowledge in various electrical design support analysis.
  • Capability to interface with Software and System team on various aspects of products.
  • Basic knowledge in Electronics packaging and Configuration management.
  • Responsible to find out new methods and processes to approach complex situations in the respective area(s) of expertise. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master /Bachelor of Engineering (BE/BTech.) degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
  • 12– 15 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years in Aerospace.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership/managerial experience with proven track record.

Desirable:

  • Should be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral English communication skills and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally for occasional design review meetings with peers / customers and system level of integration activities.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
