We are seeking smart, experienced engineers to help deploy groundbreaking technical solutions to solve our customers’ hardest problems. Each mission presents different challenges, from the regulatory environment to the nature of the data to the user population. Our Engineers work to accommodate all aspects of an environment to drive real technical outcomes for our customers.

 

This position is ideal for a forward-thinking data scientist who is passionate about exploring new technologies, driving innovation, and shaping the future of AI/ML within our organization.  You will work closely with a team of diverse engineers to build, scale, and maintain AI/ML pipelines using components from AWS to perform experimental research and development of innovative products and solutions. 


You will play a key role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and contributing to the strategic direction of AI/ML initiatives. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and conduct proof of concepts and pilot projects. The team will be responsible for communicating relevant and value-added findings and providing actionable recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders for production implementation. 


Responsibilities:  

  • Work with and understand a mix of structured and unstructured data for collecting, processing, and cleaning into a usable format 
  • Design, develop, and train machine learning models and choosing the appropriate algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems 
  • Operate in a cloud environment using appropriate tools to deploy, monitor, and maintain model performance over time 
  • Collaborate closely with ML Engineers and ML Data Engineers in a cross-functional environment to identify and assist in the development and maintenance of the necessary infrastructure and cloud environment for AI/ML Operations 
  • Create and keep all documentation up to date around methodologies, processes, and code for reproducibility and future references 
  • Comprehension of the latest technology trends, developments and best practices to apply new AI/ML technologies and methodologies and experimenting with new tools and techniques 
  • Communicate effectively to senior leadership on strategic vision and business value of project through insights from AI/ML models 
  • Provide people-management support to a team of 3-5 engineers.
  • Ensuring successful completion of work and timeliness of deliverables 


Requirements

Required Qualifications:  

  • 10 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, and data management 
  • Master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field 
  • Deep understanding of various machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) 
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, PySpark, R, SQL, Scala, Java, or C++ 
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc. 
  • Experience in AWS cloud platform and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Jupyter Notebooks, and Databricks 
  • Experience with Github and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills 
  • Desire to dig in, learn and contribute to new challenges 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Desired Qualifications: Prepared by Hiring Manager: 

  • Understanding of software development principles and best practices 
  • Knowledge of deep learning and neural networks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) 
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision (CV) 
  • Experience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services data or within healthcare industry 

Working Environment: 

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager 

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
