Description

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager who is familiar with handling new business as well as remarketing renewals.

Requirements
  • Support management in all aspects of agency operations.
  • Be familiar with and follow agency errors and omissions (E&O) guidelines.
  • Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system (AMS360).
  • Meet with carrier and broker representatives when needed.
  • Promote the services of our outside vendors (Balance Point, US Premium Financing, etc).
  • Service new business and remarket quoting according to the agency timelines.
  • Setup accounts in AMS360.
  • Crete submissions.
  • Binding, billing, and system updates.
  • Documenting AMS360 according to policies and procedures.
  • Understand the rating and navigation of various carrier websites.
  • Attend carrier and broker meetings & nurture relationships.
  • Interact with carriers to meet both agency and client expectations.
  • Assist producers by preparing for prospect meetings with carrier information and applications.
  • Being assertive and suggesting additional coverages.
  • Manage the Intranet.
  • Update agency staff on underwriting changes.
  • Keep a pulse on changes in the marketplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of coverage.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Thorough knowledge of carrier appetites.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for position/skill development.
  • Grow and develop insurance knowledge base.
  • Remain current on rates, forms and coverage changes.

Required:

  • Maintain insurance license and certifications.
  • CIC, CISR, ACRM, or CRIS.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 Years Commercial Lines Account Management experience including marketing new business and remarketing renewals.
  • Be familiar with AMS360.
