Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with our client in their Sunnyvale, CA location. This is a 6-month + contract and 100% remote position.

We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Order Management System team in an on-call operations focused role.
In this role, you will learn about the end-to-end e-commerce pipeline, including ordering, subscription management, billing, provisioning, and payments.

Responsibilities:

Build, ship, and release code to keep our systems up to date with the client's technical stack and standards for quality software engineering.
Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders to investigate and resolve customer facing issues.
Maintain understanding of latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services.
Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services.
Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
6+ years of software engineering experience.
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record of developing large-scale highly available services and systems in either Java or Python.
Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC).
Working experience of build systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures.
Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems.
Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies.
Experience developing mobile applications a bonus.

Pay rate range: $67.65 - $115.38 hourly
