Job description

At Lighthouse, we’re on a mission to disrupt commercial strategy for the hospitality industry. Our innovative commercial platform takes the complexity out of data, empowering businesses with actionable insights, advanced pricing tools, and cutting-edge business intelligence to unlock their full revenue potential.

Backed by $370 million in series C funding and driven by an unwavering passion for growth, we’ve welcomed five companies into our journey and have surpassed $100 million in ARR in 2024. Our 700+ teammates span 35 countries and represent 34 nationalities.

At Lighthouse, we’re more than just a workplace – we’re a community. Collaborative, fun, and deeply committed, we work hard together to revolutionize the hospitality sector. Are you ready to join us and shine brighter in the industry’s most exciting rocket-ship? 🚀

What you will do

Become the backbone of our People Operations team, responsible for people ops excellence, compliance, and driving continuous improvement. You'll wear multiple hats, from processing payroll and managing benefits to ensuring legal compliance and streamlining processes, while working on some exciting strategic projects.

Where you will have impact

  • You ensure a smooth payroll for our employees in Spain, while fielding employee questions like a champ. You support payroll in Germany, UK and Singapore and for our employers of record globally.
  • You take full ownership of the Spain employee benefit programs, guiding employees through enrolments and terminations. You keep them informed through engaging sessions, while driving our annual Total Reward positioning. You also support the EMEA/APAC benefit programs.
  • You partner with the other EMEA People Ops team members to plan and execute the annual Total Rewards review, ensuring fair and competitive compensation.
  • You stay ahead of the curve on employment laws and regulations in Spain, pro-actively keeping our practices and policies compliant and communicating updates effectively.
  • You identify and implement opportunities to streamline efficiencies, automate tasks, and continuously improve our global HR practices.
  • You’re actively involved in initiatives like year-end, forecasting, and M&A activities, contributing your expertise and proactive approach.
  • You represent the global HR team in our Madrid office. You help and support our employees with their HR questions and guide them to the right answer or right person to answer their questions.

About our team

The People Operations Team is at the heart of Lighthouse’s People & Talent strategy, ensuring that our employees have the tools, support, and processes needed to thrive. The team is responsible for scaling and managing the systems, workflows, and policies that power our people-related initiatives. From streamlining employee experiences to maintaining compliance and data accuracy, we design, implement, and optimize the infrastructure that keeps our growing global team running smoothly.

You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across all departments, including Talent Enablement, Talent Acquisition, and leadership, to ensure our people-centric systems are efficient, effective, and engaging. Whether it’s creating seamless HRIS experiences or driving system automation, the work we do impacts every employee’s journey at Lighthouse.

Who you are

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a People Operations, payroll or compensation and benefits role in Spain, preferably in an international company.
  • You possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in either Human Resources, accounting, finance, business administration or another relevant field.
  • You are fluent in both Spanish and English, a third language is an asset.
  • You are passionate about process improvement, diversity & inclusion, social law, and local health & safety regulations.
  • You love working with people and numbers and you are detail-oriented. You’re willing to learn new things and have a passion for labour, social and employment law.
  • You have exceptional organisational and ninja-like multitasking skills; juggling deadlines and priorities with a cool head and a smile.
  • You work autonomously and hands-on, always willing to roll up your sleeves and collaborate effectively. You have a proactive spirit.

What's in it for you
  • Flexible working environment: Work from home or at one of our global offices.
  • Flexible time off: Autonomy to manage your work-life balance.
  • Cobee benefits: 160€/month for food, transportation, or nursery.
  • Language learning: 40€/month on Preply.

  • Collaborative team: High-bar, friendly, creative, and passionate colleagues.
