The Position
Our dedicated on-account Business Intelligence (BI) team is seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics Sr. Analyst. The role joins a broader team of BI professionals supporting a large strategic client with a key focus on producing a growing array of BI solutions (dashboards, reports, apps, workflows etc.). Our top talent team is on a journey to help the client shift from reporting the news to influencing it, and we’re looking for team members who enjoy a challenge, never stop learning, and work well in a fast-paced team environment. This is a Sr. Analyst-level role, meaning that it is an individual contributor with an expectation that this individual 2-5 years experience.

This role will work directly with our account team and client, the primary consumers of the BI and analytics, and is critical to the success of the client relationship in driving performance management, process improvement, and innovation through fact-based decision making. This position is ideal for someone passionate about using their strong business acumen and deep technical expertise in data analytics to unearth nuggets of information to propel the business forward. A strong candidate will have a strategic perspective, see the big picture, and know-how to influence change. The BI & Analytics Sr. Analyst is an outstanding communicator who knows how to leverage data, deploy resources, and collaborate to deliver successful outcomes.
This role, along with the rest of the greater BI team, will help champion and drive a data fluency culture across the account, increasing data-comfort levels to increase BI adoption rates and ultimately nurture a data-driven and results-driven community. An ideal candidate will have impeccable relationship and program management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with various levels of complexity and urgency. The candidate will have extensive experience in Alteryx and experience in coaching and guiding data best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in influencing and implementing change by leveraging data and insights to identify opportunities and enhance outcomes. This position works in a broad range of areas related to a global real estate portfolio: facility management, building operations, energy management, leasing, project management, and real estate portfolio planning.
This role will partner with the account team to ensure quality delivery and healthy client relationships since both are critical to the account's success. Thus, this position requires the ability to learn and adapt quickly, collaborate with subject matter experts, and work with various stakeholders with different needs and requirements. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work creatively and effectively in a quickly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize Alteryx for data prep to surface and devise reporting that result in actionable intelligence
Work with account team to gather data and translate requests into business requirement to help the account achieve its goals and improve operational efficiency
Be an engaging and effective storyteller, adept at translating data into impactful ah-ha’s with relevant information for the business
Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, Excel, and Alteryx and other data manipulation languages
Provide relationship management and advisory support to account team, identifying trends, risks, compliance gaps, and opportunity insights to enable fact-based decision making
Embrace continuous improvement efforts and be ready to evolve along with the team
Learn the function and provide subject matter expertise for all data related processes and analyses related to Project Management
Operate as collaborative liaison between BI creators and BI consumers
Partner with various functions to truly understand the voice of the customer(s)
Work with JLL and Client leaders to understand pain points, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, leading data driven analytics to understand key drivers and provide recommendations for improvement
Assist with quality data stewardship, knowing that incorrect data will lead to misinformation
Support the BI team’s journey as they evolve from dashboarding into greater BI solutions, such as apps, AI, ML, and predictive analytics
Embrace Agile methodologies to manage workload, deliverables, communications, etc.
Key Requirements
Communication: Solid presentation skills (verbal and written) with a strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts and the ability to explain them to others. Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner in English.
Technically Proficient: Highly proficient technical skillset in Alteryx with demonstrated ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze raw data, research data issues, draw conclusions, provide resolution, and develop actionable recommendation.
Storyteller: Able to interpret and tell the story behind the data. Working knowledge of the Corporate Real Estate industry or any multi-services industry is a bonus.
Process Improvement Minded: Committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data and is willing to re-engineer processes from scratch. Good trouble-shooting skills, able to use Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Process-oriented with a good grasp of requirements elicitation, project management, and technical delivery/development processes. Not afraid to fail fast, improve, and iterate.
Client Relationship Builder: Can understand client needs, can set, and manage appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints, all while providing exceptional and enhanced customer service
Team-Player: Can achieve results from ad hoc groups of disparate people (key stakeholders and collaborators are geographically dispersed).
Flexible: Understands regional/cultural/contextual differences and allows for local expression without compromising global coherence. Works across a wide variety of cultures and markets, tailoring approach and behaviour to understand key differentiators, and leverage best practices accordingly
Secure and Detail Oriented: Provide discrete and confidential handling of sensitive information, delivers quality products with low defect levels, communicates clearly and quickly, pays attention to details
Driven: Thrives in creating and maintaining relationships, forward thinking, and creative with the highest ethical standards and drive to deliver on targets and develop the business
Experience
2+ years in data analytics experience required, ideally in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions

Tableau (recommended)

Strong interpersonal skills and the personal credibility to engage and influence stakeholders
Ability to build constructive and collaborative working relationships
Experience of extrapolating and visualizing data to derive actionable intelligence with demonstrated successes in data analysis, drawing conclusions, and suggesting improvements
Bachelor or Master’s degree, or evidence of expert skill in BI, data science, computer science, econometrics, operations research, statistics, Information Management, or related analytical field; advanced degree preferred
Experience with Agile methodologies and framework a plus
A strong understanding of data fluency/literacy and experience of developing business-wide competence and capability on data topics preferred
Domain experience advantageous in operations, real estate, project management, or finance preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position:
86,000.00 – 105,000.00 USD per year
