Job Overview: 

The Membership Development Officer will play a pivotal role in expanding and maintaining a strong membership base within the independent tertiary education sector. This role focuses on proactively identifying and engaging potential members, building strong, lasting relationships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Higher Education Institutions, and ensuring members derive maximum value from their membership.This full-time position provides a taxable salary with government-mandated contributions, ensuring you receive all the benefits of regular employment.

Job Description:
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential members within the independent tertiary education sector
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with RTOs and Higher Education Institutions, understanding and addressing their specific needs
  • Effectively communicate the benefits and value of ITECA membership Guide interested businesses through the membership application process
  • Facilitate a seamless and positive onboarding process for new members
  • Assist in completing applications and ensuring accuracy
  • As part of the outreach process, ensure that the contacts database is updated Gather insights from businesses that choose not to engage or become members
  • Provide reports detailing reasons for non-engagement to enhance future outreach strategies
  • Gather feedback from members regarding their event preferences and suggestions for improvement.
  • Report feedback to the relevant teams for continuous enhancement of member experiences
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records and communication logs.
  • Track member engagement and participation to measure effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment in outreach strategies and messaging
  • Maintain a results-driven approach, with meeting and exceeding sales targets as the primary measure of success in the role.


Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in an outbound sales environment
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting & exceeding sales targets & KPIโ€™s
  • Confidence and ability to prospect for sales opportunities โ–ช Excellent customer service skills and approach
  • Administrative experience including above average computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internal databases
  • Experience of meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Experience in accurately processing large volumes of data.
  • Excellent conduct and professional manner
