What you'll be doing

As the Senior Manager, Business Systems, your goal is to help our clients achieve what matters to them by supporting the Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance system (eGRC).  As the Senior Manager you will be responsible for managing the team that supports the eGRC application which houses Operational Risk and Regulatory Compliance programs and their data.  You will be be instrumental in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and second line production support of eGRC on a daily basis. You will be involved with all aspects of the system development life cycle, and work closely with partners in Technology and throughout Risk Management.  The Senior Manager also oversees second level support to all end users of the system and leads User Acceptance Testing.

How you'll succeed

  • People leadership - Lead  and manage a hybrid offshore/onshore team to provide support of the eGRC platform including business as usual and project support.

  • Adaptability - You require a high degree of flexibility and creativity required to be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment and to develop and adapt processes to meet such changes.

  • Second level production support - Provide second level production support of the eGRC system. Work with Risk Management program leads to triage issues and ensure appropriate criticality is given to these.  Manage support relationship with third party supplier to resolve issues in a timely basis based on priority.

  • Review business requirements - Influence the level of detail and clarity on the requirements, ensuring the business needs are documented and aligned with the overall system framework.

  • Lead user acceptance testing - Plan and oversee the testing of system bug fixes and new requirements to ensure system is completely tested prior to implementation.

  • Relationship management - Manage relationships with Business Partners, Technology Partners and external Vendors. You will  work closely with business leads and subject matter experts to ensure the systems is stable and functioning as per requirements.

  • Sound judgement - Using judgement and autonomy on daily tasks, exercising considerable latitude to coordinate and execute implementation plans and summarize outcomes for small to medium application and maintenance updates.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 3-5 years of experience in risk management, supporting operational risk programs. It's an asset if you have exposure to Systems Development Lifecycle or project management as well as have experience with Governance or Controls or a GRC platform.

  • You can demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders. You have experience explaining technical problems to a non-technical audience. You have experience in producing presentations and documentation for senior audience, as well as have experience with the facilitation of meetings with stakeholders.
