Our team is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join us in developing our product. As a full-stack developer, it is important to have a solid understanding of the Java, SQL server, along with proficiency in web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages.
This position is a 9 months contract role and based in Sydney CBD.
What you will do as a Senior Software Engineer:Take a systematic and mature approach to system planning and developmentAdhere to all company policies and proceduresEnsure timely and within-budget delivery of projectsCreate and maintain developer documentationDevelop systems with an acceptable level of security and qualityDevelop systems that promote satisfactory client retention and maintain a client-focused approachDeliver prioritized business projectsDemonstrate leadership, mentorship, and teamwork to the development teamWhat you'll need to succeed:A university degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant experience will also be consideredAt least 5 years of experience as a Senior Software EngineerPrevious experience in a senior technical roleStrong proficiency in Java development Desirable skills if you have worked on C# and Web development technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, Web API, and JavaScriptKnowledge and experience with bonus skills such as vue.js, cloud-based services (GCP), and DockerHigh expertise and experience in relational database design and programming using Microsoft SQL ServerKnowledge and experience in NoSQL databases is a bonusExtensive experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade softwareExperience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments such as Git and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with automated unit testingExperience with Agile development methodologies like Scrum, XP, or KanbanExperience with multi-threading and concurrencyExperience with debugging, performance profiling, and optimizationA solid understanding of networking and distributed computing environment conceptsA comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theoriesTHE CLASS STORY
