Who are we hiring? 

The Sr Analyst is responsible for the financial management of MSG Entertainment Live events, which includes concerts, family attractions, performing arts and special events, and across MSG Entertainment Theaters (Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre and Chicago Theatre). 

What will you do?

  • Prepare labor and cost estimates, including rate card rents, for events across MSG venues to support MSG Live Booking executives in client deal negotiations.
  • Track event costs and ensure accurate financial management throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Review contracts and conduct settlements with promoters and artist representatives on event nights.
  • Prepare profit and loss (P&L) statements and compile post-event estimates.
  • Develop financial and operational expertise across MSG’s Venues related to labor and non-labor expenses.
  • Provide primary analytical support to special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain and update the internal user event expense estimation tool and event profit sensitivity analyses.

What do you need to succeed? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of work experience ideally within the live entertainment industry (concerts, family attractions, performing arts, and special events)
  • Proficient understanding of Oracle Financial
  • Knowledge of unions and ability to handle multiple collective bargaining agreements.
  • Knowledge of rental agreements, co-promotions, and self-promotions.
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and in depth understanding of financial systems preferred.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all customers (internal and external).
  • Ability to work both independently to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working.
  • Ability to be a reliable team member, capable of effective collaboration to achieve our shared goals across teams and departments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring the message based on the purpose, audience, and channel.
  • Ability to embrace change with a flexible mindset, even if the way forward isn’t clear.

Special Requirements 

  • Regular local travel within the city
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to complete event settlements.

Pay Range
$75,000$110,000 USD
