Job Description

You will be part of Philips Device Diagnostics, which is revolutionizing the medical device industry with a broad suite of technologies that make imaging and therapy simpler, more informative and less invasive. Our products empower physicians around the world with a new generation of analytical tools that deliver more meaningful information using light and sound as the guiding elements.


Philips Diagnostics devices (IGTD) intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) product line includes ultrasound consoles that can be integrated directly into virtually any modern cath lab and single use disposable imaging catheters unique to the system. IGTD  IVUS offerings are used by clinicians to measure the stage and severity of disease present in cardiac and peripheral vessels. IVUS is also used in post-stent placement procedures to confirm adequate expansion of the stent and full apposition to the vessel wall.

The IGTD team in PIC is responsible for the design, development and verification of the clinical platforms for the consoles. This team also works collaboratively with the partner sites in San Diego, Rancho Cordova, Best and Israel.

You are responsible for:

Does detailed design within specified top level design/architecture

Functions as a Developer by developing code for the unit and reviewing

Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress

Performs the role of a Test Engineer by handling the test execution process

Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contact

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

Minimum 5+ years of esperience.

Expertise in C++ with windows programming.

C# knowledge would be nice to have

Has a good understanding software engineering principles and specifically of life cycle activities

Has required engineering knowledge to be able to solve problems effectively

Testing and debugging skills

Analyzing and problem solving skills
