Senior Director, Asset Management, Americas

Job Summary
As a Senior Director, Asset Management in xScale you will be r
esponsible for the end to end accountability of Assets under your management and their financial performance, being accountable to Investors. You will undertake the leadership role on Investor Relations, JV obligations and Communications.  You will have Accountability for Customer deals for your assets and ongoing management of escalations leveraging the Equinix Sales and Legal groups to execute. You will be relied on to help build and improve the xScale platform around Asset Management Functions. Your focus will be on the $15B JV that Equinix has recently entered into. You will partner closely with xScale Corp Dev and Finance on asset addition into the JV, leading engagement with the Investors.


Responsibilities

  • Have intimate knowledge of JV documents between Equinix and the JV partners and assure that obligations are understood across the Equinix Functional teams. Assure adherence to Obligations.

  • Prepare materials and present to internal and external investors on Business Cases. Partner with internal groups to assume accuracy and consistency of information being presented.

  • Chair Investor meetings and present to Investors on multiple cadences depending on investors specific to an AMER only JV.

  • Review and analyze asset level data and financials, reviewing for accuracy and opportunities.

  • Partner with xScale Business Ops and Finance of driving fiscal performance improvements.

  • Coordinate with D&C, Legal, Ops and Treasury on engagement with the JV partner and be able to speak authoritatively with support of those groups when presenting to Investors.

  • Partner with Sales on establishing pricing and terms for customer offers to achieve profitable returns in line or better than investment underwriting.

  • Prepare Deal Offer details and in turn corresponding deal summaries to go to investors at completion of deals.

  • Own negotiations representing xScale and the JV, in close partnership with the Equinix Customer Commercial Legal team.

  • Lead the development and delivery, coordinate and review inputs to QBR and present with support from other functional leaders as necessary – Ops, Finance, Legal etc

  • Own the Annual plan for JV, with support from internal groups across xScale, Finance and Ops.

  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in cross-functional product operations, finance, investor management or revenue operations-facing roles within a large-scale, matrixed organization.

  • Proven track record to lead and collaborate with diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Proven track record of delivering content and messaging to executives.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, being able to convey financial information to both technical and non-technical partners.

  • Strategic approach and a track record of contributing to organizational growth.

  • Proven Building, able to identify and enact process change to move the business forward.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Requires strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail and an inquisitive and innovative spirit.

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
     

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is

• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
