Job Summary

The LTC Clinical Care Manager is Responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and claim recertifications of long-term care claims and provides feedback as to how medical findings relate to functionality. Includes reviewing medical records, medical reports, cognitive testing results, etc. Documentation and summary required of each. This role also works to stay up-to-date of current medical technology, and advises if changes should be considered in claim processes. Will provide or coordinates in-service training to claims staff. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Customer Experience and support 40%

  • Provides effective, accurate and timely communication. Collaborates with internal and external customers in accordance with departmental customer service protocols.

Performance and Service expectations: 50%

  • Maintains or exceeds departmental deadlines, requirements, service, accuracy, timeliness, and performance standards. Will take appropriate action to achieve objectives and will adjust their actions in response to shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • Demonstrates the flexibility to perform other duties and projects as assigned, including but not limited to complex projects, actively leads by example when communicating.

Process Improvement 10%

  • Demonstrate EWA and support of the OneAmerica Ways.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation in process and communicate to leadership team.

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Incumbent must be Licensed Registered Nurse. The Clinical Care Manager must hold current licensure in the state of residency and the state of employment and registrations, and/or any professional designations that may be required within the jurisdiction. License must be current and without standing or pending censure by any state.

Required Work Experience

  • Long Term Care experience highly preferred; may be open to disability or health experience. 
  • Insurance industry experience required
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 06B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. We may be open to remote candidates who are not local to Indianapolis. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
