The Opportunity

"The Data Privacy Analyst II is responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations. They will work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that all personal data is collected, processed, and stored in accordance with privacy laws, company policies, and industry best practices. The Data Privacy Analyst II will also be responsible for conducting privacy impact assessments, maintaining privacy standards and procedures, and responding to privacy-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Will also monitor the organization's privacy program to ensure it is effective and up to date with changing laws and regulations." − Hiring Manager

What You’ll Contribute

  • Develop, implement, and manage privacy standards and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy considerations are incorporated into product design and development.
  • Respond to privacy-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including data subjects, regulators, and other interested parties.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable global privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
  • Monitor the organization's privacy program to ensure it is effective and up to date with changing laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to the organization on privacy matters, including the handling of personal data and privacy-related complaints.
  • Work with the legal and compliance teams to ensure privacy requirements are included in contracts and agreements with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Provide training and education on privacy best practices to employees and stakeholders.
  • Stay current on privacy laws and regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains compliant.

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, computer engineering, information systems, privacy engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Preferred software-related certifications or experience.
  • Experience in privacy or compliance.
  • Experience working with project teams, stakeholders, vendors and management to ensure compliance throughout the vendor assessments.
  • A proven track record of aligning project outcomes with privacy regulations while mitigating risks and ensuring data protection, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
  • Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or other relevant certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
