Position Summary
The Solutions Architect is a trusted key member of the LanguageLine Solutions team and serves as a pre-sales and technology partner to Business Development. You will be developing localization solutions and workflows, providing pre-sale support, and building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers. As such, knowledge and understanding of commercial strategy is vital. The Solutions Architect must also have significant experience with, and knowledge of, Neural Machine Translation, AI Services and CAT tools, as well as experience building creative proposals, answering RFPs, and presenting solutions to potential buyers.
You are expected to exercise initiative, discretion, and independent judgment in the support of each client relationship and will serve as a primary point of contact for them. The Solutions Architect position is critical to the overall success of the company.
While filling a leadership role in the company, the Solutions Architect may serve as a mentor to both Project Managers and Sales Reps and may also be required to manage quotes and/or projects directly, as needed.
Primary Duties
Engage with customers to provide technical expertise and solutions design during the pre-sales process. This includes answering customer queries, preparing, and presenting product demonstrations, and explaining the capabilities and benefits of our technical solutions.
Collaborate with the Sales Team to support the successful execution of the sales strategy.
Establish and maintain strong personal relationships with current and prospective clients.
Evaluate existing services and account set-ups to provide management with feedback and recommendations on necessary changes to automate, streamline and or improve processes, procedures, and services.
Participate in the bid process from solution design to collaboration with relevant stakeholders throughout the business.
Attend pre-sales and project planning meetings with clients.
Design automated workflows, leveraging all technologies and software available.
Lead technical implementations, client meetings and internal kick-off meetings.
Deliver cutting-edge solutions with a focus on Customer Experience.
Prepare, design, and support custom “programs” for clients.
Collaborate with all internal departments globally at LanguageLine.
Develop and deliver training for new technology rollouts, new business processes and procedures, and other training as needed.
Stay current with the localization ecosystem and emerging technologies.
Foster a culture of innovation that allows us to develop new value propositions.
Embrace and drive change internally and with our customers, focusing on Continuous Improvement.
Maintain and update key business systems, such as the LanguageLine BMS, SalesForce.com, and other DB's to document all relevant client communications.
Provide mentoring to Program Supervisors, Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.
Manage projects or quotes as needed by executing the duties enumerated in the Senior Project Management job description.
Support LLS’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures, and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
Other duties as assigned by the Solutions Manager.
Skills and Experience
2+ years as a Solution Architect or Solution Program Manager.
Strong business acumen and ability to see the ‘big picture.’
Experience in building commercial solutions for customers.
Understanding of what customers want and ability to see what they need.
Extensive knowledge of localization technology, workflows, standards, and programs.
Technical knowledge of neural machine translation (NMT), API integrations, AI technology, translation management systems (TMS), localization engineering, and CAT tools.
User-level experience with MemoQ, XTM, Intento, or similar technology.
Knowledge of CMS integrations and workflows.
Experience in pre-sales or project management.
Strong knowledge of pricing analysis and financial modelling.
Ability to visualize alternative solutions to the norm where they are technically and commercially appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of project management fundamentals as they apply to the localization industry.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Impeccable communication skills, both internally and externally, written and verbal.
Curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity.
Must be very resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
Foreign language skills a plus.
Education and Experience
The full-time annual salaries for this role is listed below, . Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this location. Experience and education refers to LanguageLine Solutions’ current salary range for this position. US Remote pay range $75,000 USD - $80,000 USD.
The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
