Description

The Associate Director, Data Privacy Operations is responsible for implementing strategic objectives of US Data Privacy Program through day-to-day program operations. This role develops tactical tools, training materials, guidance, and other supporting resources to be used by organization to drive compliance with data privacy and data protection regulations in the US. The Associate Director, Data Privacy Operations performs special projects, is responsible for privacy management technology tools, execution of US Data Privacy Office annual plan, all necessary vendor oversight and budget management, and responsible for tracking and reporting Program KPIs and Metrics for US Data Privacy Steering Committee. This role can be based out of our Ridgefield, CT office. Remote work status may be considered for candidates.   Travel to the Ridgefield location will be needed for any candidate not based commuting distance to the local to the office location.

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $135,000 and $232,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leads the implementation of elements of the US Data Privacy Program risk mitigation plan and develops tools, training, templates, and other resources to be leveraged by the US organization to drive compliance with US data privacy obligations.
  • Serves as primary liaison for US Data Privacy Champion Network (individuals in business appointed by US Data Privacy Steering Committee responsible for data privacy operations in respective business area).
  • Responsible for US Data Privacy Champion evaluating performance and driving accountability within the Network.
  • Responsible for the privacy management technology tool to automate certain Program operations and responsible for oversight and management of all data privacy vendors.
  • Serves as a liaison to Information Governance, Data Governance, and Global DPO team as it relates to US Data Privacy requirements and operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred or MS in Information Management or equivalent degree).
  • Certifications in data privacy and protection program management, data governance, security and/or privacy technology management related topics preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years with Bachelor’s degree, eight (8) years or more with post-graduate experience and must have at least three (3) years of data privacy or related field experience.
  • Data Privacy related industry certifications (CIPP/M, Data Privacy Compliance Certifications, CSSP, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in working with global organization.
  • Advanced skills in data privacy and protection and program/project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office365 products.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proven ability to motivate others to achieve results that positively impact the assigned business area(s).
  • Communicates effectively across the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, organizational, and communications skills are vital.
  • Builds collaboration by encouraging trust, mutual respect, and shared purpose among team members.
