Job Summary
The well-being and engagement intern will have frequent contact with employees and external clients representing at all levels of each organization including supervisors, managers and executives. The incumbent should demonstrate the ability to motivate others and must be a skilled collaborator to gain resources to accomplish program goals. The organizational environment requires this position to constantly anticipate and juggle priorities as needs change. A high level of professionalism and teamwork is required.
Principal Activities or Accountabilities (Essential Functions of Job)
Work with Manager of Well-being and Engagement to create health campaigns and communications timelines for clients.
Research, recommend and help develop appropriate wellness programs and campaigns based on industry trends. Work with brokers, consultants and gents to identify and properly use awareness assets and campaign materials. Act as liaison between Solution Owners, Sales/Account Teams, Marketing and Client.
Additional tasks and project will be assigned based on organizational needs.
Assignments, tasks, and projects vary in urgency, priority and level of complexity. The incumbent must frequently prioritize work, manage expectations and communicate clearly so that customers, team members, and others know when deliverables can be expected.

Through hands-on relevant work experience, the internship program will allow the student or graduate to learn the business of Arkansas Blue Cross.

Interns will receive professional coaching and participate in team building exercises. Weekly leadership forums are required where the intern will participate in open discussions regarding the corporate business and culture.
Full-time Arkansas BlueCross BlueShield employees are not eligible for internships. Reference letters are not requiered.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Intern I
1. Sophomore year in college (At least 30 credit hours but fewer than 60 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 6.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.
4. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.
Intern II
1. Junior year in college (At least 60 credit hours but fewer than 90 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 12.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.
4. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.

Intern III
1. Senior year in college (At least 90 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 18.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.
4. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.

Intern IV
1. Bachelor’s degree in requested discipline or a related degree if applicable
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.
