About the Role

The Finance Business Partner oversees general accounting operations in the UK by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role works very closely with UK operations to help make key decisions. This position carries out day to day bookkeeping functions, prepares financial reports, performs research and analysis, performs account reconciliations, and assists with audit procedures. This position reports directly to the Managing Director, UK.

This position is part-time and is expected to work four (4) days a week. Candidates must reside in the United Kingdom. While largely a remote role, this position will be expected to travel to our office near Covent Garden in London as needed. 

About You
  • You have a strong foundation in financial management, with a proven ability to oversee accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely reports.
  • You excel at combining analytical thinking with attention to detail, ensuring financial data is both meaningful and actionable.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Do
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring general ledger is accurately maintained.
  • Production of monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Assist with the financial forecasting.
  • Provide financial analysis to UK operations.
  • Preparation of management reports.
  • Coordinate statutory reporting with external accountants.
  • Prepare client billing reconciliations and act as the first point of contact for any queries.
  • Manage digital payments using Stripe.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
  • Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring
Minimum Requirements
  • Educated to degree standard in accountancy, finance or related field.
  • Five or more years of accounting experience.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification preferred, but open to strong QBE candidates.
  • Familiarity with financial statements.
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong computer aptitude including working knowledge of the following software: Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with NetSuite is also desirable, but not essential.
  • SaaS or ticketing industry experience a plus, but training can be provided.
