Position           :           Head of Finance and Business Controlling   

Reporting        :           Reports to the Managing Director (India) & Senior Controller (ASIA)

Location : Pune

Position Summary:

Finance Manager supports Walter India (WIN) Managing Director and Regional Senior Controller in running and orchestrating the financial and business rhythm for Walter India. He/she is responsible for Business performance management, Annual/Quarterly forecasting & analysis, Accounts Receivable, Account Payable, General Accounting, Direct and Indirect tax, business insight across Walter India. He/she drives the Profitability Framework and Business analysis. Candidate should be comfortable working in MNC matrix organization structure. This position will be the trusted financial advisor for the Managing Director.

Broad outline of duties and responsibilities

Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis

• Full responsibility of corporate financial reporting to Walter Group
• Preparing Quarterly forecasted financial statements
• Manage Annual Budget process
• Analyzing variations of actual against forecasts
• Analyzing costs and working capital elements (AR, Inventory), drive improvement process

Business Controlling & Performance Management

• Product wise margin analysis and product cost analysis to help management to take pricing decisions.
• Tracking and following up data quality (CRM, process flow)
• Supporting continuous improvement management
• Sales controlling support related to sales pipeline, customer portfolio activities, sales efficiency.
• Active support of the Digital Transformation and related processes with a strong focus on process standardization and automation                       

Internal Controls and Compliance

• Ensure compliance of internal controls in finance department area
• Ensure all account reconciliations are timely completed as per standard Walter policy
• Ensure corrective actions are taken on recommendations by internal auditors
• Ensure compliances of Walter Accounting policies and principles

Accounts & Audit

• Sound understanding of accounting standards as per Indian GAAP.
• Responsible for managing the general accounting function. Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Provide leadership & direction in areas of Accounts receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Costing and General ledger
• Preparation of financial statements, finalization of accounts for statutory audit.
• Ensuring timely completion of statutory audit/ internal audit.
• Independent handling of Tax audit and certifications etc.

Corporate Taxation

• Manage direct tax compliances of the company (incl. transfer pricing)
• Manage in-direct tax compliances of the company
• Finalizing tax audit &  income tax return for the company
• Timely completion of Quarterly TDS returns, CST Assessment, Advance tax payments,   Service tax etc.
• Preparing submissions for income tax appeal cases and appearing for Tax Assessments and appeal cases hearing
• Migration to GST law

Desired Profile:

Education                    :           Chartered Accountant

Experience                  :           12-15 years of post-qualification experience

Computer Knowledge:          Windows – Word, Excel, Power Point - Sound

knowledge expected

Candidates should have worked on ERP systems –

SAP S/4 & SAP BW – One Steam consolidation tool.

Knowledge of SAP Business objects will be added

advantage.

MIS – Sound knowledge expected
