The primary responsibility of the Software Engineer I is to analyze, design, develop and test various functionalities of TREND’s .NET web application.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Use current programming languages and technologies, write code, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
  • Learn TREND’s codebase to develop and improve programming skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to create product improvements and address inefficiencies.
  • Implement changes based on design specifications.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Complete other tasks as requested by System Architects or the Development Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical related discipline. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages
  • Basic programming experience
  • Ability and drive to quickly learn new software and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with the C# programming language
  • Experience with the Git source control system
  • Experience with web application development
  • Healthcare Industry experience
Mental and physical demands
  • This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
  • The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
  • Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
  • Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the day.
