Software Development Intern

The Software Development Intern will work as part of our software team to contribute to the development of our simulation platform and support modeling projects in a range of diseases, including numerous cancers, immune disorders, and many others.

Location: Remote 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Design, write, and test new features for our proprietary modeling & simulation platform, in areas ranging from user-interface to scientific computing to DevOps / infrastructure, and data management
• Independently investigate and debug issues, both reported and self-discovered
• Assist with documentation and performance tuning efforts
• Provide direct support to scientific users by consulting on platform usage
• Assist with other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of corporate goals and projects 

Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in programming with Python
• Experience with web frameworks, both on the frontend and the backend is desirable
• Eagerness to independently learn new technologies as needed
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships  

Education: 

• Currently working towards a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
