The Role 

City & State, a platform of GovExec, is looking for an Analyst, Business and Operations. In this position, you will collaborate with the leadership on data analysis, process optimization, and business strategy to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities 

  • Gather, clean, and analyze data across all products to identify trends and insights.
  • Create regular reports to support decision-making and business operations.
  • Assist in forecasting and budget tracking
  • Support management in identifying inefficiencies in business processes.
  • Participate in process mapping and documenting workflows.
  • Recommend solutions for improving operational performance, cost reduction, or customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for key stakeholders, summarizing data and trends.
  • Research industry trends, competitors, or best practices to help the business stay competitive and aligned with market demands.
  • Provide support in the implementation of new systems or system updates.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of business operations and how different departments (finance, HR, sales, etc.) interact. 
  • Strong ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Able to
    • Understand business needs and help design solutions that align with business objectives.
    • Explain technical data or processes clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Create reports for business leaders.
    • Assist in managing projects from planning to execution, ensuring that deadlines and goals are met.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work under pressure and tackle challenges proactively.
  • Proficiency in Excel or other data analytics tools

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000 including bonus potential.
