This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, ​20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 10 AM Eastern Time)

Job Description

As a Remote Bookkeeper/Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of this expanding food and beverage enterprise. You’ll leverage your expertise with QuickBooks Online and cutting-edge AI accounting tools to streamline processes, generate insightful financial reports, and support data-driven decision-making. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a business at the forefront of the smoothie and coffee shop industry, balancing traditional retail operations with innovative event services. Responsibilities
  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online and AI-powered accounting platforms
  • Perform comprehensive expense and revenue accounting across multiple business streams
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Generate weekly profit and loss statements to track business performance
  • Prepare detailed cash flow statements and expense reports for management review
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
  • Implement and optimize accounting procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the business owner to align financial practices with growth objectives


Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the food and beverage sector
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with AI-powered accounting tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent time management abilities and proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Adaptability to work with both retail and event-based business models
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining clear communication
  • Passion for contributing to a growing business in the food and beverage industry
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and accounting practices
