Responsibilities:

This is a remote position however we do prefer someone located in Arizona.

Primarily responsible for developing and implementing the strategic directions for CommonSpirit health Supply Chain Shared Service.  Provides overall management of all purchasing & materials management functions with responsibility for hospital and non-acute purchasing. Responsible to ensure ERP procure to pay policy has high compliance, materials and financial controls are in place.  Develops and implements system strategies, policy, procedures, and programs. Develops and monitor all federal and state audits and changes related to healthcare, and provide effective solutions to address audit and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage materials management technology solutions currently in place to create optimal efficiencies and ensure appropriate information linkage to 3rd party systems
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining hospital policies for purchasing
  • Established the strategic direction for supply chain Shared Service Center
  • Executes department strategy by leading the development and implementation  process for ERP procure to pay systems, and ensures alignment with accounts payable
  • Proactively partners with SC Operations, SC Sourcing/Contracting, leadership, IT, and Finance to provide solution options, and recommendations around technology standards, strategies and governance
  • Drives and implements change, continuous improvement, staff development including next line of CommonSpirit supply chain leaders
  • Fosters business partnerships with CommonSpirit team members, vendors, IT leadership to promote trust, increase efficiency and effectiveness, balance individual customer needs and business priorities.
  • Plans for and recommends space, staffing, training and equipment needed by the department to meet patient needs and/or provide other services as demonstrated by budget, goals and objectives, reports and other departmental records.
  • Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to supplier performance
  • Drives usage of cost models to validate commodity strategies and to understand significant cost drivers.
  • Provides commodity support to New Program Teams as required to meet target costs and establish program cost models
  • Managing and mentoring a dynamic team of purchasing professionals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred                                                                                                                                                             
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a large healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of direct management experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively at all levels across the organization and within individual hospital and health care delivery systems
  • Proficient with Google Suite software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of, or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization
