Job Overview:

Trajector is looking for a Senior Medical Advisor. This candidate will be a licensed, certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise/assist team members company-wide with questions and complex cases by using your expertise in pathophysiology and pharmacology. 
  • Review clinical records to identify various aspects related to the scope of your practice guidelines such as identify or indicate appropriate diagnosis, treating and managing diseases. 
  • Write, update, and/or personally approve Medical Opinions and other medical evidence documents.  
  • Evaluate current medical evidence documents for strength of argument and quality of medical literature; update medical literature and documents based on these evaluations. 
  • Perform medical literature research and apply new research to our current medical evidence documents as well as developing new medical evidence documents and other projects. 
  • Recognize secondary conditions by applying high level medical knowledge to other problems that could be affected by the service connected condition. 
  • Research and apply laws to our cases to improve current strategy practices! 
  • Respond to emails from Veterans and staff. 
  • Understand and maintain HIPAA compliance. 
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance. 
  • Data collection of cases winning and losing and why and apply to current strategy practices. 
Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. 
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or as Physician Assistant from an accredited educational institution.
  • Five years' experience as an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) or PA (Physician Assistant). 
  • Licensed in the State of Florida (preferred but not required, company can assist with FL license if obtained after accepting position). 
  • Board-Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Experience with veterans/military preferred.  
  • Extensive experience in research and evaluation of medical literature.  
  • Extensive critical care experience, family practice, internal medicine and/or patient counseling experience.   
  • Experience in an office, remote, or telemedicine environment.  
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. 
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, Google based documents, CRM, and proprietary software applications (will provide training on proprietary applications). 
  • Active listening skills with the ability to retain information while multitasking including concise and accurate documentation. 
  • Remote home-office environment with reliable internet access and free of distractions, conducive to preserving client confidentiality and security. 
  • Minimum internet speed of 25 Download/10 Upload.
