Job description

Overview:

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Electric sector. The Assistant Project Manager will provide outreach engagement support for electric utility projects. The work scope includes general project and administrative support with client/customer interface and outreach, records management, and project execution. Desirable traits include attention to detail, diligent work ethic, quality control, and emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts outreach and engagement services to customers, including preparing messaging, copy, and materials, as needed.
  • Research community values, identifies potential community issues to aid in the planning of project engagement plans with corresponding strategies, tactics, initial scope recommendations, internal deadlines, and draft budgets to achieve program goals.
  • Visit customer properties with client teams to gather information, explain utility programs, address concerns, and facilitate communications with survey and design teams.
  • Coordinates with client counterparts, including public affairs and corporate communications representatives, on collateral, outreach materials, and any inter-jurisdictional coordination as needed.
  • Serves as the day-to-day outreach point of contact for Cordoba’s Project Managers.
  • Responds to and tracks inquiries and requests from community members and coordinates with Cordoba Project Managers and client representatives, as needed.
  • Attends client and community meetings and program events as needed.
  • Creates other customer outreach and engagement for the project as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in community outreach and engagement, customer relations, public affairs, communications, or related fields required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Utilities knowledge required; Electric utility experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the San Diego area/geography highly preferred
  • Experience using databases to update and extract customer information 
  • Effective QA/QC skills and attention to detail
  • General graphic design knowledge
  • Proficient in Adobe and MS Office suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Current California driver's license and a clean driving record with no major violations required

Pay Range: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Remote with required travel for meetings and client/customer visits (San Diego residents preferred)

 

Travel: Up to 20% travel to client project sites within San Diego County (company vehicle provided)

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
