The Logistics team at Whatnot focuses on all things shipping for our sellers and buyers globally, including global carrier integrations, providing tools to sellers to ship quickly and efficiently, opening up new lines of business, showing accurate tracking to buyers, and more. Logistics is deeply connected with the foundations of our business and unlock tremendous growth while creating exciting new ways for our users to have the highest quality shipping experience with Whatnot.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build new capabilities and features for complex tooling for sellers to manage orders and shipments, as well as help rearchitect and migrate our teamās tools into new frameworks. Each member of the team has a lot of individual responsibility, and your ability to make good trade-offs and bring outside opinions to the way we operate is essential for our success.
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, New York, or Los Angeles hubs.

As our next Software Engineer, you should have 4+ years of software engineering experience, particularly an expert in frontend web development with React, using GraphQL for API development, and modern frontend applications. Exposure to Next.js framework is not required but preferred. You also:
- Have a Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Have excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution
- Can implement pixel perfect design, following what the design team is asking for
- Are comfortable sharing your insights - youāre not afraid to push back on the teams ideas to call out potential blind spots and bring an outside perspective
- Have a proven track record of delivering features end-to-end
- Are a project owner - you have strong ownership instincts and can own projects from inception to production and beyond
- Have experience with complex web based tooling like dashboards or shipping tooling (nice to have)
- Have startup experience at a high-growth company (nice to have)

$185,000/year to $205,000/year + benefits + equity.
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
