About the job:

We are currently seeking Cloud Engineer Interns for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about AI and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be managing and driving efficient and scalable cloud-based operations. This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS
• Ensure optimal architecture and deployment of cloud services, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency
• Develop automation scripts to manage AWS resources and services efficiently
• Work closely with other teams to integrate voice data into existing platforms and processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with other parts of the technology ecosystem
• Monitor cloud environments, implementing best practices for security and cost management
• Stay updated with new AWS features and services, evaluating their potential impact on existing and future cloud solutions
• Contribute to the documentation of best practices and technological choices

About You:

• Pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with a focus on databases and cloud technologies
• Notable project / work experience using AWS or another major cloud service
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL
• Understanding of large-scale data management, particularly audio and video data
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to innovate and challenge the conventional in the field of databases and cloud engineering

This is a full-time, paid internship with a minimum commitment of 3 months (520 hours). We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same. With flexibility comes increased responsibility to this and will require a higher concentrated effort in order to be current with projects, align with your team and to extract the value this internship is engineered to award. The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
