About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced composer to create an original oriental instrumental score for a meaningful 3D animated thesis film. The project explores themes of personal growth, family bonds, and Taoist philosophy through the story of an artist's emotional journey.

Responsibilities:

• Compose original oriental instrumental music that enhances the emotional narrative
• Create a score that blends traditional Eastern musical elements with contemporary composition
• Develop musical themes that represent character development and spiritual growth
• Work closely with the filmmaker to align music with visual storytelling
• Provide regular progress updates and iterations

Requirements

• Proven experience in composing for animated films or similar narrative works
• Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in oriental music composition
• Understanding of traditional Chinese/Eastern instruments and musical principles
• Ability to translate emotional themes into musical expression
• Experience with digital audio workstations and professional recording techniques
