Job description

What's the role?:

Identify and define relevant channels of engagement across HERE for TIL to expand the
impact footprint of the business vertical, leveraging AI/ML engineering expertise.


• Define an intellectual property (IP) monetization strategy that will enable HERE to earn revenue and enter new markets, with a focus on innovative AI/ML solutions.
• Identify technology domains where TIL and HERE should engage and define a strategy for realization through the development of disruptive prototypes, aligning with HERE's business strategy and leveraging AI/ML, location intelligence, and other emerging technologies.
• Support the team to design experiments and stay up-to-date with industry inventions in AI/ML (focus on LLM, NLP, Computer vision), quantum computing( good to have), location
intelligence, distributed computing, LiDAR and drone processing, 3D modeling and AR/VR(good to have), emphasizing the engineering aspect of technological advancements.
Relevant experience in deep learning, LLM based models, neural network, transformers and diffusion model with good coding and mathematical experience.
• Enable the invention of new frameworks and solutions in the domain of AI/ML( focus on LLM, NLP, Computer vision) , location intelligence, distributed computing, quantum
computing(as good to have), tinyML, etc., emphasizing the role of engineering in driving
innovation.
• Improve the innovation index of HERE by publishing research papers in prestigious conferences such as NeurIPS and IEEE, and receiving recognition in international forums
like CES and Stevie, showcasing advancements in AI/ML engineering.
• Enable year-on-year increase in the number of patents filed by the team, with a focus on innovative AI/ML solutions and other emerging technologies.Work with the Manager to identify and define lead Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to effective assessment of performance at the individual level and impact
• Assessment of innovation implementation at the business unit level, with a focus on engineering contributions to AI/ML innovation.
• Identify relevant research papers in the aforementioned technology domains and enable the team to design solutions, emphasizing the role of engineering expertise in driving
innovation forward.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with expertise AI/ML to join our innovative team. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing our AI capabilities and exploring the intersection of quantum computing with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Candidates with a strong background in mathematics, computer science, machine learning, and AI, as well as optional expertise in quantum physics, are encouraged to apply.

Who are you?:

• Master's in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related quantitative fields.
• Candidates should have 5 years of experience.
• Adequate knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and Large  Language Models (e.g., GPT-3/4),
• Prior experience through internships and volunteering with professionals, demonstrating practical skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
• In-depth understanding of emerging fields and the ability to approach challenges with unique perspectives, fostering innovation and creativity.
• Basic knowledge of different programming languages, such as Python, C++, or Java, to facilitate software development and implementation.
