About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced People Operations Specialist based in Poland to oversee and manage our diverse population of contractors (private entrepreneurs) across Europe. This role requires an understanding of European labor policies, particularly those impacting contractors and self-employed individuals in different countries. Fluency in English and Ukrainian languages, and proficiency in contractor-related policies within Europe are essential.

Day to Day:

  • Contractor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our contractor workforce, ensuring a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience, answering policy questions, handling ongoing support needs and special projects.
  • Policy Compliance: Stay up-to-date with labor laws, policies, and best practices around contractor management in various European countries ensuring compliance and adapting internal processes as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with contractors to promote engagement and satisfaction, offering them the necessary resources and guidance for success.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and systems that impact contractor management, such as onboarding/offboarding, invoicing, contract renewals, etc.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of the contractor population, including contracts, contractor records to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and key metrics. Generate reports and insights as needed.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication with contractors regarding company policies, changes, and initiatives, and coordinate translations for Ukrainian-speaking contractors when necessary.
  • Cultural Awareness & Sensitivity: Demonstrate an understanding of cultural differences across European countries to provide relevant and effective support for contractors in each region.

What you bring to the table:

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or contractor management, ideally in a multinational setting.
  • Knowledge of European Policies: Strong understanding of policies, regulations, and best practices for contractors in Europe, with particular expertise in Eastern European countries.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with a remote, diverse workforce.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
