Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst position has primary responsibility for development, maintenance and reporting functions of MHS payroll systems. This includes but is not limited to: ongoing maintenance of software; pay policies, organization set up, scheduler set up, access profiles, calendar views and clock device groups. This position creates and troubleshoots custom reports using the Crystal Reports and implements established control procedures. In addition, this position assists in account reconciliation, resolution of employee discrepancies, tax reporting, garnishments, balancing payroll runs. Work situations are varied and require analytical skills, problem solving using critical thinking skills, organization, prioritization, integrated system knowledge, process flows, attention to detail, and good judgment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with an automated payroll system
- Experience with one or more of the following systems preferred: Lawson, Kronos, Meditech, and Workbrain
Healthcare or Hospital experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $72,883.00 - $100,672.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
