Job description

The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented USRN with a passion for ensuring patients receive the best care possible? As an Admissions Coordinator, this role will see you play a key role in connecting patients with the care they need, working closely with marketers and clinical teams from our US-based healthcare client.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

What You’ll Do:
  • Review and analyze hospital discharge medical records to assess clinical compatibility with available medical services at the facility.
  • Assessing patients' social and mental backgrounds to determine facility suitability.
  • Verify patients' health insurance benefits and eligibility and submit prior authorization, including calling insurance and doctors' offices
  • Admitting eligible and appropriate patients to the facility.
  • Collaborating with social workers from various hospitals to facilitate smooth patient placements.
  • Responding to inquiries related to services and referrals in accordance with established scripts.
  • Coordinating with hospital marketers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Working closely with the clinical team to ensure necessary medical services are available before accepting referrals.
To succeed in this role:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years in healthcare admissions or case management; familiarity with discharge records and insurance verification.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems, medical terminology, and referral processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency with healthcare software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with teams.
  • Detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to prioritize tasks independently
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - 9am to 6pm
