Job description

  • Resilience Operation Centre’s (ROC) provide 2nd line of defence (2LoD) oversight and assistance to 1st line of defence (1LoD), to interpret and maintain compliance to resiliency policy requirements, driving high quality and best practice aligned to current standards and regulatory requirements.
  • This consultant role will provide resilience support across [insert region] and will have depth of knowledge across any one of the key areas of Resilience (Technology Resilience/Recovery, Operational Resilience,). This role will also be expected to provide admin support for Crisis Management incidents (in line with the Global Crisis Management Framework).
  • Key stakeholders will be regional teams with the potential to work with colleagues in the other regions.
  • Supporting 1LOD teams establish their technology and operational resilience to meet our Resilience policy and standards, through advice, monitoring, training and testing (particularly disaster recovery and business continuity).
  • Participate in the ongoing improvements to resiliency processes and adapting to regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Support regional resilience risk assessments to understand resilience risk exposure and ensure any corrective action required is taken.
  • Develop reporting and MI to provide a view of regional resilience compliance and resilience practices.
  • Help to embed industry standard resilience disciplines and practices (tech, cyber, operations).
  • Develop MI and reporting to support the embedding of Critical Business Services in order to drive appropriate management action to optimise service recovery and restoration capability.
  • Support the training and exercising of Gold and Silver Crisis Management teams
  • Support key resilience activities such as o Plan creation / reviews (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery):

o Exercising Business Continuity/Tech Recovery/Backups restoration/Crisis Events:

o 1LoD consultancy

o Client / Regulatory Audits

o Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activity

o SME RFI Responses

Qualifications

  • Strong resilience practices with 5 to 8 years of experience embedded with clear evidence that there is an effective and robust holistic service recovery and response in place.
  • Insightful data and reporting produced to support how resilience practices are being embedded.
  • Awareness and strong knowledge of Resilience disciplines (Business, Operational, Cyber and Tech)
  • Attention to detail, precise, organized
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to provide clear and concise communications to a variety of stakeholders.
  • MI and reporting experience essential
