Responsibilities

  • Actively driving refinement discussions and contributing extensive product knowledge.
  • Participating in sprint planning and stand-ups.
  • Identifying ways to improve the team's effectiveness and bringing up these suggestions during retrospectives.
  • Demonstrating the ability to create technical designs for complex features and leading other developers in their implementation.
  • Providing high-quality written and verbal contributions to specifications.
  • Exhibiting good communication judgment with limited mentoring or guidance.
  • Playing a key role in requirements gathering and all aspects of the software lifecycle.
  • Balancing business and technical needs for key features.
  • Identifying gaps in quality and performance and recommending improvements.
  • Working independently without supervision and often providing guidance to other team members.
  • Suggesting process changes for continuous improvement.
  • Having significant industry experience.
  • Evaluating analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills with technical staff at all levels.
  • Showing strong technical management lead capabilities.
  • Being able to deliver formal technical training.
  • Providing continuous mentoring to other software engineers.


Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in object-oriented language: Java (preferred), C#, C++, JavaScript frameworks considered.
  • JS, SpringBoot experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
  • Understanding of object-oriented and related design concepts
  • Architecture design
  • Willing to work on projects without defined structure and participate in investigation and implementation of new technologies.
  • Mentoring less senior developers

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
