Sr. Endpoint Engineer - US REMOTE

Overview:

Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing Division for a Sr Endpoint Engineer, working remotely. *REMOTE*

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Endpoint Engineer to join our growing IT team. This individual will be responsible for leading the migration of Windows devices from SCCM to Intune, as well as supporting the ongoing management of MacOS endpoints using JAMF. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Intune (Windows) migrations, a solid understanding of JAMF for MacOS management, and familiarity with endpoint management systems for diverse environments including SCCM and Endpoint Central.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Windows Migration to Intune: Drive the migration of Windows devices from SCCM to Intune, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• MacOS Management with JAMF: Oversee the management of approximately 400 MacOS devices in the Chicagoland area using JAMF, ensuring devices are properly configured, secured, and updated.
• Security Patch Deployment: Manage and deploy security patches across all endpoint devices (Windows, Mac, and Linux), ensuring systems are always up-to-date and compliant with security standards.
• Endpoint Management Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement endpoint management policies and processes for Windows, Mac, and Linux devices.
• Intune & Mobile Device Management: Maintain and optimize Intune policies for mobile device management (MDM), ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the IT team, project managers, and end-users to troubleshoot issues, provide support, and implement solutions that improve the overall endpoint environment.
• Documentation & Training: Create detailed documentation and training materials for the team, and provide guidance on the use of new tools and processes.
• Stay Current with Technology: Keep up to date with the latest developments in endpoint management, security, and device management tools, and recommend improvements to processes and tools.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with Intune: Proven track record of leading Windows migrations from SCCM to Intune.
• JAMF Experience: Experience managing MacOS devices using JAMF for configuration, security, and patch management.
• SCCM & Windows Management: Strong understanding of SCCM for Windows systems, particularly in patch management, application deployment, and device configuration.
• Endpoint Security Expertise: Experience in managing endpoint security, patching, and compliance across diverse device environments.
• Mobile Device Management (MDM): Familiarity with managing mobile devices using Intune or similar MDM solutions.
• Linux Management Tools: Exposure to Endpoint Central for managing Linux endpoints (or similar tools) is a plus.
• Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve endpoint issues quickly and efficiently.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in hybrid cloud environments and knowledge of cloud-based management tools.
• Familiarity with other endpoint management solutions such as AirWatch, Workspace ONE, or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)) are a plus.
