Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Senior RPG Engineer to join their Prime Labels and Packaging IT team!


Your Responsibilities:

  • Planning, analysis and implementation of web and windows software applications
  • Quality assurance including unit testing, bug reports and automated notifications
  • Follow new technology and best practices, enhancing technical policies and standards
  • Contribute technical and process knowledge/skills within project teams, including involvement in e-commerce and web development initiatives
  • Work with business leaders to identify analytical requirements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned, including server/IIS setup, database maintenance and overall IT planning


You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of programming experience
  • Experience with Scott Klement’s HTTPLIB API’s, RPGIV/ILE/FREE
  • Database experience table/index creation, CL programming, creating/consuming web services, XML or Json files
  • ILE binding and using binding directories
  • Aldon or other source management experience
  • Experience with tax work solutions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work closely with users throughout the lifecycle of application development and deployment
  • Ability to demonstrate programming knowledge
  • Analysis, planning and implementation of web and windows software applications
  • Understanding of and ability to demonstrate object-oriented programming principles
  • Ability to logically structure applications to promote loose coupling
  • Ability to understand and implement event driven application development and multithreading
  • SQL Server (schemas, queries, stored procedures) – able to write store procedures and interact with SQL server database using .NET, WCF/Web API services


We Would Also Prefer:

  • Solid understanding of i-series operations
  • PHP experience
  • Knowledge of shipping programs
